Gustavo is keen on embroidery, an activity he practices during his spare time and during the days or nights of thift in his dentist profession in the Trinidad policlynic.
Since november 2002 he has been recognized as a local craftsman from the exam commission of 'Associaci�n Cubana de Artesanos y Artistas, ACAA'.
His works has already been on show at handicraft exhibitions in Trinidad and selected for the.
